Your Inspiration. My Creation.

The WriteOne Creative Services is a full-service, independent design and advertising company, providing the same great work as a large agency without the overhead expense.

Owner / Founder Deborah Kelley prides herself on exceeding her customer’s expectations. With a love of the written word, Kelley was first globally published in the literature supporting the Missing Children Help Center at the age of thirteen. She has dabbled in all genres, including being one of the Tampa Tribune’s youngest correspondents at seventeen. She is a reporter for Tampa Bay News and Lifestyles MagazineWatermarkFlorida Woman Magazine, and Positive Impact Magazine, and is a theatre reviewer for Broadway World, and Creative Loafing.

Past journalism experience includes being a freelance reporter and frequent guest editor for AOL Patch, Carrollwood, and Westchase until they changed the platform format, a columnist for Prism Publishing, a freelance reporter for the Tampa Tribune until they closed in 2015, and Laker Lutz News, an entertainment writer for The Free Press, a vegan food reviewer for CarlosEats.com, a music reviewer for Punch Records US, a theatre reviewer for Groove Magazine, and a freelance reporter for Seedling Magazine. She is also an award-winning playwright.

A Florida native and a graduate of University of Tampa, Kelley brings her customers over thirty years of experience to every artistic endeavor. Kelley has the skills and appreciation of all things creative to make her customer’s dreams an affordable reality.

Her love of web design and graphic design was forged accidentally during a job as a marketing liaison for an aerospace company. She was asked to take on the responsibility of writing and designing an international company newspaper and intranet, with little knowledge of what that entailed. Her employer sent her to a week of classes and from there, she taught herself ancient Frontpage, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. She continued to hone her skills on her own away from work, becoming more comfortable and adept at the process. Because of her creative acumen, at her request, she was the only employee the company ever sent back to college for a degree that wasn’t engineering-related.

She started her company as an evening hobby to combine her passion for design with her love of writing. Her general manager was her first web design client.

Whether writing a business bio, web copy, or a PR press release, designing a mobile-friendly WordPress website, or creating marketing branding,  from concept to design implementation, Kelley’s experience embraces all aspects of design with originality and creativity. Kelley has no problem with “thinking outside of the box” and welcomes the challenge of transforming ideas into vision. As a small business owner, (a “little fish” in a big corporate pond), she understands the budget restraints of other small businesses and works to make your vision happen in a creative and most cost-effective manner.

Seventeen years later, the hobby has become a calling and a vocation, and clients, friends. The continued success of The WriteOne Creative Services is an example of where determination, dedication, and an entrepreneurial spirit can lead.
